I have known Leye (AKA WESU!) for over 10 years. We grew up together in our teenage and university days as neighbours’ just two houses away from each other. When he sent me a message that he was getting married and would want me to document the events, my first thought was that he was joking. If you know Leye, you will agree with me that he plays like that. He called and invited me to come meet the lady that stole his heart and I met Yemisi for the first time. We got talking and she told me her photography expectations for the most important day of her life. She looked at some of our work and was sold. After a few phone calls and messages from Leye, the deal was sealed. We decided to use the Oshodi Heritage Park for their pre- wedding session. I noticed before the click of a shutter that these couple are compatible and are obviously in love. We had fun throughout and we were done in 90 minutes.
HOW THEY MET:
They met at the house of a mutual friend of Leye and I. I’m not sure if Ajoke (AKA Mutty Tat); the matchmaker, knew it would end in marriage but I’m sure her intentions were sincere. It was a beautiful afternoon in October 2011 and Leye accompanied Ajokes’ brother to her house. While they were been entertained, she went to her neighbours’ upstairs to ask Yemisi to come meet her “brothers”. Yemisi reluctantly followed and made herself comfortable in the living room. Ajoke went inside to get Leye and the rest is history. In the words of Leye “from the very first hi, I knew there was something special about her. We have a lot in common and I’m glad we have come this far”. Yemisi had this to say “We bonded immediately. It was like we had known each other. I never imagined we would come this far but God knew all along. I bless God for giving me such a wonderful gift. In Leye I have a best friend, brother and lover (3 in 1)”.
I wish you all the best in your married life and I look forward to shooting your wedding ceremony and helping you keep the memories, emotions and your style in formats that you will show your grandchildren when you celebrate your anniversary many years to come. Enjoy the pictures and don’t forget to leave your comments. Thank you.
